Shower Door Glass Care & Maintenance
To keep your shower door looking clear and beautiful for years to come, regular care is important. Glass is durable, but it does require simple maintenance to prevent buildup and staining.
Daily Care (Best Results)
-
Use a squeegee after each shower to remove water from the glass.
-
Wipe down any remaining water droplets with a soft cloth if needed.
Weekly Cleaning
-
Clean the glass with a non-ammoniated glass cleaner
-
Use a soft cloth or microfiber towel—avoid anything abrasive.
What to Avoid
-
Do NOT use cleaners containing ammonia, vinegar (in high concentrations), or harsh chemicals.
-
Avoid abrasive pads, brushes, or scrapers that can scratch the glass or damage protective coatings.
-
Do not use razor blades or sharp tools on the glass surface.
Protective Coatings
-
If your glass has a protective coating, proper care will extend its life and performance.
-
Regular cleaning and drying will help maintain the coating and keep your glass looking like new.
Important Note
Shower glass is not self-cleaning and is not completely water spot resistant. Regular maintenance is required to keep it looking its best.
When is my shower ready for template?
A shower door becomes eligible for templating only after all final surfaces have been permanently installed. It's important to note that while and sealants do not have to be fully completed before taking measurements, all other finished surfaces must be properly in place. Additionally, these surfaces should remain unaltered after the template has been taken to ensure accurate fit for the shower door.
