When is my shower ready for template?

  • A shower door is ready for templating once all final surfaces are permanently installed. While grout and sealants do not need to be completed before measurement, all other finished surfaces must be in place and unmodified after the template is taken.

How water tight is a shower door?

  • Shower doors are designed to keep most water inside the shower, but they’re not completely watertight. It’s normal for a small amount of water to escape around the edges or bottom of the door, especially depending on your shower’s design and water pressure. To help minimize this, make sure water is directed toward the walls and not directly at the door, and check that all seals and sweeps are in good condition.

How do I clean my shower enclosure?

  • To keep your shower door looking its best, clean the glass regularly using a non-ammoniated glass cleaner or a mild soap and water solution. Avoid cleaners that contain ammonia, vinegar, or harsh chemicals, as they can damage the glass coating and hardware over time. For best results, wipe the glass dry with a soft microfiber cloth or squeegee after each use to prevent water spots and soap buildup.

What is tempered glass?

  • Tempered glass is a type of safety glass that has been heat-treated to make it several times stronger than regular glass. During the process, the glass is heated to a high temperature and then rapidly cooled, increasing its strength and safety. If broken, tempered glass shatters into small, dull pieces rather than sharp shards — reducing the risk of injury. Because of this heat-treatment process, tempered glass cannot be cut, drilled, or altered once it’s been made. Any cutting or shaping must be done before the glass is tempered. This makes tempered glass the preferred choice for shower doors, railings, and other safety applications.
